Registered Nurse - Chemical Dependency

Position: Registered Nurse Location: LOH Main - Naperville Type: Full Time, 36 hrs/week Hours: PMs 3pm-11pm & 7pm-7am Responsibilities include: Assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, documenting care, and evaluating outcomes. Ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment by supervising staff, completing rounds, and maintaining communication during patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Collaborating with healthcare teams to address physical, psychosocial, and discharge needs, participating in interdisciplinary planning, and supporting department goals. Supervising direct care and contributing to program evaluation. Providing education and guidance to staff, students, and community groups to promote mental health awareness. Qualifications: Nursing degree, current Illinois RN license, CPR certification, and CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred: one year psychiatric experience, knowledge of abnormal psychology, and understanding of therapeutic systems. Skills: Confidentiality, strong communication, teamwork, and professional development commitment. Ability to evaluate suggestions, adapt behaviors, and work within budget constraints.
