About the role
Responsible for supervising and guiding direct patient care staff in providing safe, effective chronic hemodialysis treatment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, staff support, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Participate in staffing, training, and patient care planning.
- Assess patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments, and educate patients and families.
- Supervise equipment use, perform testing, and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare team for patient care adjustments.
- Lead emergency response and promote a safe work environment.
- Support quality assurance and special projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- R.N. graduate with current licensure.
- Minimum of 9 months nursing and 3 months dialysis experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Completion of hemodialysis training course.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Work Environment
- Includes patient interactions, facility management, and occasional travel.
- Must pass color blindness test; work in healthcare setting with exposure to infectious materials.
Compensation
Annual salary range $79,000 – $133,000 with comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
