About the Role

Acts as the hemodialysis team leader, providing supervision and guidance to direct patient care staff. Communicates with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and adjust patient care plans, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatment in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including OSHA compliance.
  • Participate in staff training, orientation, and meetings to promote quality care.
  • Assess patient needs, monitor treatment, respond to emergencies, and communicate with physicians.
  • Administer medications, supervise equipment use, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Educate patients and families about dialysis, disease management, and treatment plans.
  • Assist with staffing, hiring, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with current licensure.
  • Minimum of 9 months nursing and 3 months dialysis experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of hemodialysis training course.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team.
