About the Role
This position involves coordinating facility operations, ensuring quality patient care, and supporting staff in a healthcare setting. The role includes managing staff training, equipment, physician and patient relations, compliance, and cost containment.
Responsibilities
- Support and drive quality standards through regulatory compliance and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care, from admission to discharge, ensuring proper documentation and patient education.
- Act as a resource for staff and address patient concerns, emergencies, and medication administration.
- Maintain facility equipment, safety, and environment, including inspections and addressing malfunctions.
- Participate in administrative duties such as cost control, policy development, staff competency, and regulatory surveys.
- Manage medical records, medication inventory, and vendor invoicing, and oversee compliance with HIPAA.
- Supervise staff, act as Patient Safety Officer, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure and ACLS certification.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; advanced degree desirable.
- 6-8 years of related experience, including supervisory or management roles.
- Experience in ambulatory surgical centers, vascular access labs, or similar healthcare environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical database software.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Physical & Working Conditions
Includes desk work, patient interactions, facility inspections, and travel between locations. Work environment typical of healthcare facilities, with exposure to infectious materials. Supervisory responsibilities may include overseeing direct care staff.
