About the role

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing unit. Utilizing the nursing process, they collaborate with patients and families to promote health and restore well-being, ensuring safe, compassionate, and respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic data and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for continuous improvement.
• Guide staff during critical situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.
• Implement innovative practices to enhance patient outcomes.
• Provide clinical leadership through coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Support ongoing learning and quality healthcare delivery.
• Work closely with leadership to meet department goals, ensuring adherence to policies.
• Maintain high standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of relevant clinical experience.
• RN licensure.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer literacy.
• Additional certifications like ACLS.
