Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical/Surgical

About the role

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a nursing unit. Provides clinical leadership, collaborates with healthcare teams, and ensures quality and safe care aligned with hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic data and guide staff during critical situations.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing interventions and implement process improvements.
• Engage in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Support continuous learning and participate in initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Active RN licensure.
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 14 days of hire).
• Computer literacy.

Preferred Skills

• ACLS Certification.
