This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The nurse utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to assess, plan, and deliver appropriate treatments, including medication administration and patient education. Ensuring patient safety, dignity, and autonomy is paramount, along with addressing psychosocial needs and promoting cost-effective practices.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess patients based on their medical condition
• Administer prescribed medications
• Provide age-appropriate care and self-care support
• Develop and evaluate patient/family education plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical services
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge resources
• Practice cost-efficient resource management
• Prioritize patient safety and reduce risks
• Engage in lifelong professional learning

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Computer literacy
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire

Skills

• Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications
