Registered Nurse - Bed Management Coordinator

Position Overview In this role within the Patient Services department, you will coordinate a centralized bed management system to ensure efficient patient admissions and transfers, optimize occupancy, and prevent service delays. Your responsibilities include communicating with clinical staff to monitor discharges, transfers, and bed availability, reviewing all admissions and transfers for clinical appropriateness and medical necessity, and supporting admissions coordinators to maintain smooth patient flow. Additionally, you will analyze bed management data, identify issues, propose solutions, and prepare reports for leadership. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing required prior to hire.Diploma from an accredited nursing school and current professional licensure.
