Registered Nurse - Bed Management Coordinator

In this role within the Patient Services department, you will coordinate a centralized bed management system to ensure efficient patient admissions and transfers, optimize occupancy, and prevent service delays.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clinical staff to monitor discharges, transfers, and bed availability.
• Review all admissions and transfers for clinical appropriateness and medical necessity.
• Support admissions coordinators to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Analyze bed management data, identify issues, and propose solutions.
• Prepare reports for leadership.

Requirements

• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing (required prior to hire).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school and current professional licensure.
