Registered Nurse - Bed Management Coordinator

Schedule

• Alternating shifts on weekends, varying between 7a-7p and 7p-7a

Responsibilities

• Coordinate centralized bed management to ensure efficient admissions, transfers, and optimal occupancy
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding discharge, transfer status, and bed availability to assign beds appropriately
• Review admissions and transfers for clinical appropriateness and medical necessity, taking action when criteria are unmet
• Support admissions coordinators to facilitate patient access and flow
• Analyze bed management data, identify issues, develop resolutions, and prepare reports for leadership

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and professional licensure at hire
