Regional Sales Manager (Western US)
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a remote working opportunity. Preferred candidates will be based somewhere in the Western United States.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile Network Operator Regional Execution
- Engage directly with MNO Regional Network Managers to position Centauri+ as the primary alternative to E-Band microwave, Starlink, and fiber.
- Drive “Competitive Displacement” by highlighting our zero-licensing costs, 10G transmission speeds, extremely low-latency, and rapid deployment capabilities.
Channel & Partner Optimization
Manage Manufacturer’s Reps: Oversee sales rep firms to drive improvements in lead-to-sale conversion rates from 7% to 15%.
Technical Sales Support: Act as the subject matter expert to help close high-probability deals in the WISP, Tier 3 Telco, and Enterprise verticals.
Systems Integrator (SI) Flywheel: Recruit and onboard 5–10 specialized SIs (in University/Medical campus niches) to transition from “selling lasers” to “selling a connectivity solution.”
Territory & Vertical Expansion
Public Sector: Identify and prepare bids for DoD and USG contracts using our COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products for tactical communications.
High-Margin Verticals: Drive penetration into University campuses and Medical centers where fiber trenching is cost-prohibitive.
Regional Growth:
West RSM: Expand sales into the Western US region building on existing wins. Oversee Sales Rep growth into BEAD contracts. Expand MNO marketshare.
What You Will Bring
Experience: 5+ years of experience in outside sales within the Wireless, Telecom, or Networking hardware space.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of backhaul technologies (E-Band, Microwave, Fiber) and the US Carrier landscape.
Channel Mastery: Proven track record of managing Manufacturer’s Rep firms and hardware distributors.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to discuss 10G link performance, latency, and “Fiber-Symmetry” with CTOs, CIO’s and Network Engineers.
Strategic Mindset: Comfortable navigating the long sales cycles of the DoD and the rapid-fire requirements of Disaster Recovery/Special Events.
It Is A Bonus If You Have
Existing Network in Target Market Verticals: Proven relationships and an active contact list within University/Medical campuses, the Public Sector (DoD/USG) procurement offices, or Mobile Network Operator director/manager levels of network transport.
BEAD Program Expertise: Direct experience managing or driving sales related to BEAD (Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment) contracts and federal/state-level funding programs for broadband infrastructure with emphasis into ISP’s, Tier 3 Telcos or enterprise related customers.
Specific Advanced Networking Certifications: Certifications or deep knowledge in advanced networking protocols (e.g., MPLS, BGP, or advanced IP routing) to speak to the network integration beyond just the backhaul link.
Competitive Technology Experience: Direct selling experience against or with a deep technical understanding of Starlink or other emerging LEO/MEO satellite communication providers, in addition to E-Band microwave and fiber.
