We are working on a confidential search for a growing industrial pump manufacturer seeking a proven Regional Sales Manager to own a Northeast territory. This is a remote, field-based role covering the Northeast U.S. down to Northern Virginia, including Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have experience selling centrifugal pumps, process pumps, ANSI pumps, chemical process pumps, or related rotating equipment through a mix of distributors, manufacturer representatives, OEMs, and end users. This person will own the commercial strategy for the region, strengthen existing channel relationships, develop new business, and serve as a credible technical resource in the field.
Responsibilities
- Own regional sales growth, margin, forecasting, and territory execution
- Sell industrial pump solutions to distributors, OEMs, end users, and channel partners
- Manage and develop distributor and manufacturer representative relationships
- Drive both original equipment and aftermarket sales opportunities
- Identify repair, replacement, upgrade, parts, and service opportunities across the installed base
- Review customer specs, applications, performance requirements, and proposed solutions
- Prepare, deliver, and follow up on proposals throughout the sales cycle
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations, distributor training, seminars, and trade show activity
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline, forecasting, and account activity
Requirements
- 5+ years of outside sales experience with industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or engineered industrial equipment
- Strong preference for candidates from a pump OEM / manufacturer background
- Experience with centrifugal pumps, process pumps, ANSI pumps, chemical process pumps, or industrial pump systems
- Proven success managing distributors, manufacturer representatives, channel partners, OEMs, or end-user accounts
- Experience selling into chemical, petrochemical, water/wastewater, municipal, mining, or general industrial process markets
- Ability to discuss pump applications, specifications, materials, flow rates, pressure, and performance requirements with engineers and plant personnel
- Strong territory management, forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 60% within the region
Pay
- Base salary up to $150,000, depending on experience
- Strong sales incentive / bonus program, ~30%+
