Key Responsibilities
- Own regional sales performance, including revenue growth, margin, forecasting, pipeline management, and territory development.
- Develop new business opportunities with distributors, end users, OEMs, and industrial customers.
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through value-based sales strategies.
- Drive sales of original equipment, aftermarket parts, service, repairs, replacements, and upgrade opportunities.
- Conduct customer visits, sales calls, product presentations, seminars, and trade show activities.
- Manage distributor and manufacturer representative relationships, including training, support, performance accountability, and territory coverage.
- Review customer specifications, application needs, and performance requirements to recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Create and execute a territory business plan aligned with annual sales goals.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, sales forecasting, pipeline updates, and reporting.
- Monitor competitive activity, pricing trends, lost-order feedback, market conditions, and emerging customer needs.
- Partner with internal engineering, application, operations, and leadership teams to support customer requirements and close business.
Requirements
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in industrial or technical equipment sales.
- Experience selling pumps, rotating equipment, process equipment, or similar engineered products preferred.
- Background selling into industrial markets such as chemical, petrochemical, water/wastewater, manufacturing, or general process industries.
- Experience working with distributors, manufacturer reps, OEMs, and end users.
- Strong ability to manage a sales territory, build customer relationships, and grow revenue.
- Comfortable discussing technical product applications, specifications, and customer needs.
- Experience with aftermarket parts, service, repair, replacement, or upgrade sales is a plus.
- CRM experience required; Salesforce preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 60%.
