Job Overview
The Regional HRBP - Compliance is responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and advising HR leaders and other internal clients on employment law and workplace compliance matters across the assigned region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s a plus but not required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR, compliance, or employee relations experience with strong exposure to employment law in the designated region
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical HR guidance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, educate, and build trust at all organizational levels
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with ability to analyze data and produce compliance-related reports
Essential Functions
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local employment laws across the assigned region
- Partner with HR leadership to create and/or update policies, procedures, and handbooks accordingly
- Conduct compliance audits, e.g., wage and hour, leave administration, timekeeping, and recommend corrective actions
- Advisory Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR partners and managers on employment law questions in assigned region
- Provide practical, HR-aligned compliance guidance on employee relations, discipline, performance management, accommodations, leave, and termination processes in assigned region
- Escalate complex or high-risk issues to senior HR leaders and counsel as appropriate
- Training & Education:
- Develop and deliver training for managers and HR staff on employment law fundamentals in designated region
- Create tools, job aids, and FAQs to help managers understand and apply laws consistently in day-to-day decision-making
- Risk Mitigation & Case Support:
- Review sensitive employee relations cases and provide recommendations aligning with both compliance obligations and organizational values
- Partner with HR Investigations team and counsel on escalated issues, regulatory agency responses (EEOC, DOL, state agencies), and litigation support as needed
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR Centers of Expertise (Benefits, Talent, Compensation) to align compliance practices with HR strategies
- Support HR business partners in ensuring equitable, compliant application of policies across the region

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $83,157.00 - $117,458.00 per year.

About the Role
This role does not serve as legal counsel but functions as a subject matter expert within HR to ensure policies, practices, and employee relations activities are consistent with current employment laws, regulations, and organizational values.
