Vanguard University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recruitment Coordinator to join our Graduate and Professional Education Enrollment team. This role plays a pivotal part in representing the University and its graduate and professional programs to prospective students, focusing on engagement, relationship-building, and accurate communication of program offerings.
Responsibilities
- Reflect and promote the mission, vision, and identity of Vanguard University.
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders across schools, departments, and support offices.
- Engage prospective students through phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions to build meaningful relationships.
- Actively listen to prospective students' concerns, goals, and aspirations, tailoring program information to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with the Graduate Enrollment Team to provide a seamless enrollment experience.
- Partner with admissions counselors, academic advisors, financial aid representatives, and other stakeholders to support students from initial inquiry through enrollment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of graduate and professional programs, curriculum, and distinctives.
- Clearly articulate how each program supports the educational and professional goals of adult learners.
- Provide accurate information regarding admissions requirements, deadlines, and application processes.
- Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions within the University's CRM system.
- Represent Vanguard University at recruitment events, open houses, information sessions, and workshops.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community college transfer centers, local businesses, and other strategic partners.
- Stay current on industry trends, enrollment strategies, and best practices related to adult student recruitment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to strengthen recruitment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including mandatory annual participation in University Commencement ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Familiarity with admissions, enrollment, or student recruitment, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Ability to learn marketing and sales principles relevant to student recruitment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathetic listener with the ability to understand and respond to individual needs and concerns.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for recruitment events and outreach activities.
- Vibrant belief in Jesus Christ with ample evidence of personal discipleship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in admissions, enrollment, or student recruitment within a higher education setting.
- Experience with sales, marketing, or creating promotional content across various platforms.
- Working knowledge of Canva or similar graphic design and collateral development platforms.
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting adult learners and collaborating with university offices.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Recruit, Slate, or Salesforce.
Pay
This is a non-exempt, full-time, benefit-eligible position with an expected pay range of $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. Placement within the salary range is based on education and experience.
