Recruiter – Direct Labor Machinists

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify hiring criteria.
  • Source and refer eligible candidates to the Hiring Manager and manage the interview and hiring process.
  • Lead the interview process with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Create and or maintain databases and spreadsheets to measure the success of recruitment.

Requirements

Multi-tasking - sense of urgency for goal achievement in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects occurring simultaneously

3-5 years of specialized recruitment and/or staffing experience preferred.

Strong customer service and client focus

Strong interviewing techniques and methods.

Demonstrated knowledge of networking and retention principles and practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Effective interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics

Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required

Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated high attention to detail

Ability to work with diverse groups

Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgement and professionalism

Understanding and ability to use continuous improvement tools

Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products

Knowledge of Social Media sites (LinkedIn, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred, or combination of education and experience as approved by management.
