Recreational Therapist - PACE

About the role

Provide therapeutic social, recreational, and diversional activities for participants at multiple sites to promote active, independent living for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Conduct participant assessments
• Develop and implement individual and group recreational activities
• Participate in care planning and support interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate documentation and supervise volunteers or interns
• Lead facility-wide participant-centered events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy
• Certification in Basic Life Support (within 30 days of hire)
• Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (within 6 months of hire)

Qualifications

Preferred: at least 2 years of experience working with the elderly or disabled.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
• Supervisory experience

Pay

$28.41 to $43.47 per hour
