Recreational Therapist - PACE

About the Role

We are seeking a Recreation Therapist to support our community-based programs, focusing on enhancing the well-being of elderly participants through therapeutic social, recreational, and diversional activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual assessments to identify interests and needs
• Develop and implement both individual and group activities
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
• Manage recreation documentation for assigned participants
• Train and supervise volunteers, youth programs, or interns
• Lead facility-wide participant-centered events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy
• Within 30 days of hire: BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Within 6 months: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (NCTRC)

Skills

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Qualifications

Preferred: At least 2 years of experience working with elderly or disabled populations
