This position is located at Arts and Crafts, Fort Polk, Louisiana. Get crafty with the Fort Polk Arts and Crafts team. Express your skills in customer service and the arts by helping military families express their crafty side! Our MWR activities help the military community and their family members relax and unwind to build resilience and have fun. This job is open to U.S. citizens, nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S., including Non-U.S. nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Responsibilities

• Circulates among patrons in a patron usage facility to assure service is satisfactory
• Receives and resolves customer complaints
• Provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery
• Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
• Plans, conducts, publicizes, and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions
• May provide work guidance to other staff
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required
• Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for the position
• One-year probationary period may be required
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks per AR 215-3, para. 2, including a Tier 1 background investigation
