Recreation Assistant NF-02

This position is located at FMWR - Arts & Crafts and is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S., including Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among patrons in the Arts and Crafts program to ensure service is satisfactory; receive and resolve customer complaints; provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Assist patrons in the use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, and teaching classes.
• Plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.
• May provide work guidance to other staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Appointment subject to a favorable suitability determination.
• Must be willing to accept a flexible appointment.
• Must be able to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on organizational needs.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of work experience involving dealing with the general public.

• This job is part of a pay-banded system.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
