This position is located at Outdoor Recreation - Fort Riley, Kansas, a multi-use recreation facility with a multitude of amenities and services.
About the role
The Fort Riley Outdoor Adventure Program offers opportunities to explore your adventurous side through Army Outdoor Recreation (ODR) programs. This role involves working in a patron usage facility, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing support for various recreational activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Circulate among patrons to ensure service is satisfactory; receive and resolve customer complaints.
- Provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assist patrons by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, and teaching classes.
- Plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.
- May provide work guidance to other staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- This job is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Non-U.S. Nationals must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
- Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.
- Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license/ID or an Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL).

Pay
This job is part of a pay-banded system.
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized. Incentives will not be paid.
