This position is located at Fort Gordon - Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation - Business Operations Division. U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. are eligible to apply. Non-U.S. Nationals must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Responsibilities
- Circulate among patrons in a usage facility to ensure service is satisfactory; receive and resolve customer complaints.
- Provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assist patrons by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, and teaching classes.
- Plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.
- May provide work guidance to other staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (www.sss.gov).
- Position, duty hours, location, and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Work experience involving dealing with the general public is required.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
Pay
This is a pay-banded position. The following allowances and differentials may be authorized by the Garrison Commander:
- Sunday Premium Pay: 25% of the basic rate for all non-overtime hours worked on Sunday (maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Only regular employees (full-time, part-time, limited tenure, and seasonal) may be eligible.
- Night Differential: 10% of the basic rate for non-overtime hours worked between 1800-0600.
