About the role

The position involves recommending and implementing procedures for ensuring proper record storage, working with programs to establish and maintain records management processes, maintaining and implementing a records management file plan, and ensuring proper storage and delivery of all Docket casefiles.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends and implements procedures for ensuring proper record storage in a manner that is consistent with the statutes, regulations, and Department and BLM policies.
  • Works with programs to establish and maintain analog and electronic records management processes.
  • Maintains and implements a records management file plan that will guide record keeping and assists in record lifecycle management.
  • Ensures proper storage and delivery of all Docket casefiles to programs and public and updates information in the tracking system. Includes annual storage and desk inventories.
  • Completes final disposition for temporary records and oversees destruction paperwork.

Requirements

  • Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Direct Deposit participation required.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

Qualifications

  • To qualify for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: For GS-09: You must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience: Knowledge of record storage and lifecycle management; Ensuring compliance with records management regulations, policy, and/or guidelines; Formulating record file plans and guidance; Providing advice and guidance on complex records management matters; Working with casefile management; Dissemination of records and information while complying with the Privacy Act and the Freedom of Information Act. -OR- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education.

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hours are flexible and may vary depending on project demands.
