Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors to the health center
- Schedule and verify insurance and payment methods for appointments
- Schedule follow-up appointments and communicate with patients about upcoming appointments
- Notify patients of eligibility conflicts and collect necessary co-payments
- Update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Collect and record patient payments for services rendered
- Assist patients with health insurance information and determine appropriate co-payments
- Participate in internal quality improvement teams
- De-escalate irate patients as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $21.00/HR-$23.00/HR.
