Real Estate Staff Accountant

About the role

We are hiring a Real Estate Staff Accountant who enjoys solving problems and taking pride in discovering the right solutions. This is an in-office opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accuracy of corporate financial records and reports for assigned duties.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end close process and manage our debt.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and yearly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide related variance analysis monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Manage Prepaid, Accrued Expenses and Fixed/Intangible Asset schedules including recording depreciation and amortization.
  • Collaborate among departments to share accounting data and improve efficiencies.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports.
  • Prepare roll-forwards and financial analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting actual to budget/forecast analysis.
  • Experience with monthly, quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience recording monthly journal entries, accruals, reclasses, etc.
  • Experience with debt reconciliation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient financial system skills with an emphasis on Excel, SmartView, Workday Financials experience a plus.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Nimble problem solver who enjoys complex challenges.
  • Demonstrates quality customer service, teamwork, and cultural fit.

Pay

Expected pay range of $65,000 - $80,000 base salary plus annual target bonus.
