About the role
The Development Associate position at Lifestyle Communities (LC) is part of a dynamic team dedicated to bringing together communities that enrich neighborhoods. This role supports the development process from project conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, schedules, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with project research, documentation, and coordination
- Track timelines, budgets, and schedules
- Contribute to maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants, contractors, and local agencies
- Work alongside the development team under supervision of the AVP, Development Operations
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of residential/multi-family and mixed-use projects
- Communicate with internal and external team members on plan changes and schedule variances
- Engage in various other projects as needed
Requirements
- Basic understanding of real estate development concepts
- Flexible and adaptable mindset
- Experience with key real estate terms and principles
- Ability to collect and organize project information clearly and accurately
- Positive attitude toward problem-solving and project outcomes
- Strong team player with interest in learning about market trends, financial modeling, permitting, and development processes
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for tracking and reporting
- Organized and proactive with the ability to manage tasks independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, architecture, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional, hands-on real estate experience, preferably with a focus on multifamily, retail, and/or mixed-use
Skills

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
