About the role
The Associate Property Manager, Multifamily is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring high-level service, and building high-performing teams.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Regional Property Manager with the overall operations of the building.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.
- Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
- Providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
- Tracking and evaluating advertising, and all client traffic.
- Leading by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are being followed.
- Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary.
- Maintaining residents' files in accordance with company's standards.
- Maintaining a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
- Managing and maintaining all aspects of the community budget and finances.
- Working with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
Competencies
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
- General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting; improving the performance of each staff member.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of team, ensuring that all C&W policies and procedures are being followed.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
- Be able to manage a team.
Important Experience
- 3+ years of Property Management experience.
- 1+ years of Management experience.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time.
- Regularly required to use hands to operate office machinery.
- Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
Compensation
$31.45 - $37.00 per hour.
