Associate Property Manager, Multifamily
About the Role
Associate Property Managers are responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Regional Property Manager with the overall operations of the building.
- Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Complete lease and renewal paperwork to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
- Lead by example, instilling and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring compliance with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.
- Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
- Resolve resident conflicts promptly and consistently to maintain a positive living environment.
- Manage and maintain the overall community budget and finances.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing and marketing goals are met.
- Determine leasing opportunities for staff and work on performance improvement and goal setting.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, Technical, or Vocational school required.
- 3+ years of Property Management experience.
- 1+ years of Management experience.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
- General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to manage a team.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.
Physical Demands
The role may require traveling from floor to floor, climbing stairs, and moving between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time, regularly use hands to operate office machinery, and be required to walk, talk, and hear.

Pay
The compensation for this position ranges from $27.75 to $32.65 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
