About the Role

A prominent California-based law firm is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to join its thriving transactional practice. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys sophisticated work, values direct client interaction, and is seeking greater ownership of transactions in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. The practice handles a broad range of complex real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, financing transactions, and joint venture structures for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of complex transaction documents, including joint venture, partnership, and operating agreements
  • Manage sophisticated real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing matters
  • Work directly with clients, counterparties, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Take primary responsibility for transactions from inception through closing
  • Develop trusted client relationships and play a meaningful role in the growth of the practice
  • Collaborate closely with a team of experienced attorneys on high-value matters

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of real estate transactional experience
  • Strong experience handling complex real estate acquisitions, financing, development, and joint venture matters
  • Ability to independently manage transactions and communicate effectively with clients
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Sound business judgment and a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Interest in building a long-term practice and taking on increasing responsibility
  • Active California Bar license required
  • Strong academic credentials
