Real Estate Associate Attorney (San Diego)

About the role

The San Diego office of Sheppard is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a partner track position offering opportunities to work alongside esteemed leaders who are deeply committed to mentorship, talent development, and sophisticated client service.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, commercial leases, and other real estate transactional documents
• Conducting and reviewing title due diligence, including negotiation and clearance of title issues
• Managing transaction closings, including coordination of colleagues, clients, and outside parties
• Collaborating with partners and senior associates on structured acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 3-4 years of experience working on varied real estate transactions
• Proficiency in drafting, negotiation, and document review, with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple concurrent matters
• Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn directly from leading practitioners

Requirements

• Candidates must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the California bar

Benefits

• Annuual salary range: $260,000 - $310,000

• $260,000 - $310,000 annually
