React.js Front End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new interfaces and modules for the GivePulse platform.
• Work with next.js and Typescript.
• Experience with MySQL and PHP (bonus).
• Create RESTful services.
• Create unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software.
• Find a work-around when there is no work-around.
• Analyze information and solve complex problems.
• Show excellent attention to detail.
• Ship quality code quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Build software with a focus on real-world functionality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of React JS experience (preferred).
• Expert Knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with MVC frameworks, such as Yii and Laravel (plus).
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong analytical skills and great problem-solving abilities.
• Product-first approach to building software.
• Startup experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree, or relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience designing, building, and launching your own application.
• An interest and passion in volunteering and community engagement issues.
• Able to see alignment, discoloration, and margin issues on interfaces and designs.
• Able to find a good compromise on perfection when creating pixel perfect interfaces.
• An interest in playing with new frontend technologies and interfaces.
• Able to solve challenging puzzles for fun.
