Hours: Mon - Thu, 3:00 - 5:30 PM (negotiable)
About the role
We’re hiring Paraprofessionals to work with children on the autism spectrum in their homes during afternoon and evening hours. As an RBT/BT at BehaviorCare Therapy, you’ll provide 1-on-1 support to a 15-year-old boy with autism, helping him build daily living skills, communication, independence, and confidence through play-based ABA therapy designed by a licensed BCBA. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your patience, energy, and creativity can make a lasting difference.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with a child in their home to help them learn and grow using play-based ABA techniques
- Follow simple step-by-step treatment plans created by your supervisor (BCBA)
- Track progress during each session using an easy data system on your phone or tablet
- Collaborate with your BCBA and fellow techs to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Provide feedback to families about session progress and celebrate small wins together
Requirements
- Experience working with children (e.g., SPED Para, 1:1 Aide, Classroom Aide, after-school programs, caregiving, or autism support)
- ABA experience is a plus
- Afternoon/evening availability (weekends a plus)
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
