About the Role
The Clinical Nurse in the Rapid Response/Code Team provides hospital-wide emergency response and acts as a clinical resource for staff, offering guidance and education on less familiar procedures.
Responsibilities
- Responds to emergencies such as Code Blue, White, CAT events, and traumas.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care within nursing standards.
- Educates patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-treatment care.
- Promotes patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural factors.
Requirements
- RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of critical care or emergency department experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work alertly in safety-sensitive roles.
Schedule
This role involves rotating shifts, including days and nights.
