About the Role
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for coordinating patient assessments, interventions, and documentation during RRT calls to ensure optimal outcomes. They respond to emergencies, communicate with medical teams, and provide patient and family education. The role involves monitoring and analyzing RRT data to identify improvement opportunities, developing clinical guidelines, and supporting quality care initiatives. The nurse serves as a professional role model, mentor, and liaison between staff, patients, and families, fostering a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient assessments, interventions, and documentation during RRT calls.
- Respond to emergencies and communicate with medical teams.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Monitor and analyze RRT data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop clinical guidelines and support quality care initiatives.
- Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and liaison between staff, patients, and families.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Active RN license (multi-state or single state).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and critical care credentials.
- Minimum two years of critical care nursing experience.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and stress management skills.
- Knowledge of Georgia Nurse Practice Act and adherence to ethical standards.
