About the role
This position is a part-time benefit-eligible role with varying schedules as needed. Sign-on bonus eligible based on eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist.
- Captures and processes patient information for diagnostic exams.
- Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
- Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
- Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment.
- Aids in the preparation of patients for exams and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
- Retrieves patient orders and requisitions while supporting administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams.
- Assists patients to restrooms, with bedpans, urinals and other ancillary clinical support needs as required.
- Supports administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Senior/rising senior Radiography program student preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
- Experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of career in medical imaging.
- Medical clerical skills preferred.
- BLS required.

- Basic diagnostic x-ray skills.
