About the role

This position is a part-time benefit-eligible role with varying schedules as needed. Sign-on bonus eligible based on eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist.
  • Captures and processes patient information for diagnostic exams.
  • Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
  • Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
  • Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment.
  • Aids in the preparation of patients for exams and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
  • Retrieves patient orders and requisitions while supporting administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams.
  • Assists patients to restrooms, with bedpans, urinals and other ancillary clinical support needs as required.
  • Supports administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Senior/rising senior Radiography program student preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
  • Experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of career in medical imaging.
  • Medical clerical skills preferred.
  • BLS required.

  • Basic diagnostic x-ray skills.
  • Ability to assist patients with questions about procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines.
  • Ability to perform administrative and miscellaneous work tasks.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $21.00
