About the role

This position is available at Department 36278 Atrium Health Pineville - Radiology: Xray: Steele Creek. It is a part-time, benefits-eligible role with potential for a sign-on bonus. The schedule includes PRN availability, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment.
  • Affords assistance to patients with questions about procedures.
  • Prepares patients for exams and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
  • Assists in the administration of medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast media materials as directed.
  • Supports the performance of diagnostic exams based on assigned modality and career pursuits (Rad/Fluro, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound).
  • Affords administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams.
  • Affords assistance to patients to restrooms, with bedpans, urinals, and other ancillary clinical support needs as required.
  • Affords support for administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Senior or rising senior student currently enrolled in Radiography program preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
  • Clinical experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of career in medical imaging.
  • Medical clerical skills preferred.
  • BLS required.

Qualifications

  • Certifications: BLS required.

Skills

  • Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation, MRI safety, and infection control.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 - $21.00

Schedule

PRN to include weekend hours.
