About the role
This position is available at Department 36278 Atrium Health Pineville - Radiology: Xray: Steele Creek. It is a part-time, benefits-eligible role with potential for a sign-on bonus. The schedule includes PRN availability, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment.
- Affords assistance to patients with questions about procedures.
- Prepares patients for exams and ensures patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
- Assists in the administration of medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast media materials as directed.
- Supports the performance of diagnostic exams based on assigned modality and career pursuits (Rad/Fluro, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound).
- Affords administrative or miscellaneous work tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications required in the workflow for diagnostic exams.
- Affords assistance to patients to restrooms, with bedpans, urinals, and other ancillary clinical support needs as required.
- Affords support for administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Senior or rising senior student currently enrolled in Radiography program preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
- Clinical experience based on the educational program affiliated with the pursuit of career in medical imaging.
- Medical clerical skills preferred.
- BLS required.

Skills
- Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies.
- Knowledge of radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation, MRI safety, and infection control.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $21.00
Schedule
