Role Overview: The CT Technologist performs computed axial tomography procedures using specialized imaging equipment and contrast materials, ensuring accurate patient exams in accordance with departmental protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Prepares and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast, recognizing and responding to adverse reactions.Reviews patient history, labs, and radiology orders for completeness and medical necessity.Performs multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images independently, reviewing cases with radiologists when needed.Ensures patient, visitor, and environmental safety, reporting safety events promptly.Maintains imaging equipment, supplies, and workplace environment, reporting malfunctions timely.Assists in training students and new staff; may perform duties of other modalities or serve as acting lead or coordinator.Demonstrates technical proficiency, critiques imaging quality, and transfers images to PACS for interpretation.Possesses a minimum of one year radiology experience, valid radiologic licenses, and certification in CT or equivalent. Qualifications & Skills: Associate’s degree or completion certificate in Radiologic Technology, BLS certification, and registered radiologic technologist status. Skills include independent technical judgment, multitasking, patient assessment, and safety adherence.
