Radiology Technologist Weekend
About the Role
Join our team at Akron General, Cleveland Clinic’s only Level One Trauma Center, where you’ll work alongside a dynamic and highly skilled group of technologists in an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. Responsibilities
- Adjust and control complex electronic equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
- Prepare and position patients prior to procedures to ensure safety and obtain high‑quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation dose.
- Calculate and select appropriate equipment and technical factors such as film type, kilovolts, and milliamperes.
- Maintain working condition of all equipment and report any malfunctions or needed adjustments.
- Assist in maintaining the sanitary condition of the radiology area.
- Comply with all Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, and tracking data.
- Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect.
- Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department‑specific competencies and requirements.
- Use x‑ray equipment to obtain images of the body, preparing patients, positioning them, operating the equipment, and ensuring high‑quality images.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a Radiologic Technology program from an approved school.
- Registered Radiographer (R) with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists.
- Current Radiology state license.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical Requirements
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Schedule
This position works weekend nights, 3:00 pm — 3:30 am.
Pay
Minimum hourly: $29.00 – Maximum hourly: $44.50. The range reflects anticipated new‑hire compensation and does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package. This position is also eligible for a $2,500 sign‑on bonus.
