Role Overview The CT Tech performs diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring high-quality imaging with independent judgment and technical expertise. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, maintaining ARRT competency, preparing patients, verifying orders, and adhering to safety protocols. They review images for quality, provide patient education, ensure comfort, and communicate effectively with care teams. The role involves maintaining accurate records, following infection control procedures, and assisting with contrast media administration under supervision. Continual professional development and supervision of students or colleagues are also key duties. Qualifications & Skills ARRT certification (RT)(R), valid state licensure, and BCLS certification.Proficiency in sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and contrast protocols.Strong communication, independent functioning, and teamwork skills.Manual dexterity, physical strength for patient transfers, and ability to operate complex equipment.Preferred: ARRT (R)(CT) certification, 1-2 years of CT experience, and fluoroscopy license if applicable. Key Duties Performing and evaluating CT exams per protocols.Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper identification.Maintaining equipment, records, and safety standards.Participating in continuing education and supervising colleagues or students.
