CT Technologist - Weekend

About the role

The CT Tech performs diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring high-quality imaging with independent judgment and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and maintain ARRT competency
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and adhere to safety protocols
• Review images for quality, provide patient education, and ensure comfort
• Communicate effectively with care teams and maintain accurate records
• Follow infection control procedures and assist with contrast media administration under supervision
• Engage in continual professional development and supervise students or colleagues

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (RT)(R), valid state licensure, and BCLS certification
• Proficiency in sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and contrast protocols
• Strong communication, independent functioning, and teamwork skills
• Manual dexterity, physical strength for patient transfers, and ability to operate complex equipment

Preferred: ARRT (R)(CT) certification, 1–2 years of CT experience, and fluoroscopy license if applicable

Key Duties

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper identification
• Maintain equipment, records, and safety standards
• Participate in continuing education and supervise colleagues or students
