About the role
The Radiologic Technologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center will perform imaging exams and deliver outstanding patient care for physician-ordered Rad/FL procedures. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures using approved protocols while ensuring technical accuracy
- Review patient studies for quality, coding accuracy, and proper documentation
- Administer contrast agents safely; follow radiation safety guidelines (ALARA, Image Gently)
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure equipment readiness
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Use critical thinking to resolve patient care concerns and workflow challenges
- Participate in quality assurance efforts and collaborate to resolve image quality issues
Requirements
- ARRT-certified
- Texas Medical Board CMRT and BLS certifications
- Strong technical proficiency and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited program by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
