Radiographer I (Urgent Care, Kissimmee), Full-Time

About the role

Nemours is seeking a Radiographer (Full-Time) to join our Urgent Care Clinic team in Kissimmoe, FL.

Responsibilities

• Attain and develop pediatric x-ray films
• Provide quality pediatric patient care on shift including triaging and assisting in procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of office and clinical environment
• Create a welcoming environment and act as a patient advocate
• Assess, triage, and take action on all patients according to protocol
• Obtain vital signs and lab specimens
• Administer medications per policy and procedure
• Perform and assist with procedures per policy and procedure
• Give aftercare instructions
• Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record, logs, and requisitions
• Execute physician orders
• Develop and deliver x-ray films according to protocol
• Maintain x-ray equipment in clean and proper condition
• Coordinate x-ray films to be viewed by a radiologist or released for follow-up care
• Transport x-ray or lab samples as necessary
• Perform lab controls and patient samples on lab equipment according to protocol
• Operate and care for all other radiology and patient care equipment as needed
• Knowledge of the Digitizing room procedures

Requirements

• Associate's Degree required
• Completion of an approved Radiology Program required
• Minimum of one (1) year pediatric hospital, outpatient, or urgent care radiology experience required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist license in Florida required
• ARRT Required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire
• New graduates must obtain Florida Radiologic Tech License and ARRT within 90 days of hire
• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required
• Will be working between 3 urgent care locations within a 30-minute radius
• Facilities operate 10am-8pm
• Weekend Shift differential is 20%
