About the role

Nemours is seeking a Radiographer (CASUAL) to join our Urgent Care Clinic team in Kissimmee, FL. Nemours pediatric urgent care centers provide a kid-friendly, family-centered experience for families seeking urgent care services. With three centers conveniently located in the greater Orlando area, we deliver exceptional Nemours care to families where and when they need it most.

Responsibilities

  • Attain and develop pediatric x-ray films.
  • Provide quality pediatric patient care on shift, including triaging and assisting in procedures.
  • Maintain requirements for moderate complexity lab work.
  • Ensure cleanliness of office and clinical environment.
  • Create a welcoming environment and act as a patient advocate.
  • Observe, assess, triage, and take action on all patients according to protocol.
  • Obtain vital signs and lab specimens.
  • Administer medications per policies and procedures.
  • Perform and/or assist with procedures per policies and procedures.
  • Provide aftercare instruction and discharge/transfer patients.
  • Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient records, logs, and requisitions.
  • Execute physician orders.
  • Develop and deliver x-ray films according to protocol.
  • Maintain x-ray equipment in clean and proper condition.
  • Coordinate x-ray films to be viewed by a radiologist or released for follow-up care.
  • Transport x-ray or lab specimens as necessary.
  • Perform lab controls and patient samples on lab equipment according to protocol.
  • Operate and care for all radiology and patient care equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of digitizing room procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree required.
  • Completion of an approved Radiology Program required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year pediatric hospital, outpatient, or urgent care radiology experience required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist license in Florida required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
  • New graduates must obtain Florida Radiologic Tech License and ARRT within 90 days of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required.

Schedule

  • Will be working between 3 urgent care locations within a 30-minute radius.
  • Facilities operate 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
  • This is a casual role.
  • Minimum of 20 hours worked per month.
  • Plus one major and one minor holiday per year.
  • Weekend shift differential is 20%.
