Responsibilities
- Performing radiographic exams, including taking x-rays following protocols and proper positioning
- Educating patients by explaining procedures and positioning
- Applying radiation safety measures to minimize exposure
- Providing basic patient care, including assisting with triaging, discharge, and related tasks as workflow permits
- Measuring vital signs and performing simple lab procedures such as EKGs, urine collection, and nasal swabs
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist program
- Current ARRT certification, Maryland Radiographer License, and CPR certification
- Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience in healthcare settings
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Proficiency with x-ray equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work long shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Pay
Hourly pay ranging from $35–$40 plus overtime opportunities.
