Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams: capture x-rays following protocols and proper positioning
- Explain procedures and positioning to patients
- Apply radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff
- Assist with triaging, discharge, and other tasks as workflow permits
- Record vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height, and weight
- Conduct simple lab procedures such as EKGs, urine collection, and nasal swabs
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent, completion of an approved R.T program
- Current ARRT certification and Maryland Radiographer License
- CPR certification
- Preferably at least one year of experience in a clinical setting
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Proficiency with x-ray equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work long shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Pay
Hourly pay of $35-$40, with overtime opportunities and a sign-on bonus.
