Role Overview
A Radiographer responsible for performing radiographic exams, providing patient education, practicing radiation safety, and assisting with basic patient care and vital sign measurements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-rays following protocols and proper positioning
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure safety measures are followed
- Assist with triaging, discharge, and basic lab procedures such as EKGs and specimen collection
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's degree or equivalent and completion of an approved R.T program
- Current ARRT certification, Maryland Radiographer License, and CPR certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and operation of X-ray equipment
- Excellent customer service, communication skills, and reliability
- Physical ability to work long shifts, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs
