Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs, implements, and maintains a comprehensive quality improvement program
  • Collaborates with Director of Quality and other trauma program staff
  • Identifies and problem solves quality improvement issues related to the trauma quality program
  • Affirms compliance with trauma quality improvement initiatives
  • Reviews records and documentation as needed for abstraction
  • Aids the trauma program staff in accreditation readiness
  • Gathers data and prepares reports for submission to regulatory and accrediting agencies
  • Evaluates trauma reports to identify opportunities for improvement and evaluate risk issues
  • Maintains thorough and up-to-date knowledge of data and regulatory requirements
  • Attends staff meetings related to trauma quality improvement activities
  • Provides in-service training to staff and providers as needed
  • Supports the IT team in optimizing electronic medical record systems and related clinical tools
  • Utilizes multiple software applications to prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse population
  • Effectively interacts and communicates with team members and external customers/clients/potential employees
  • Displays strong team working and collaborative skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field preferred
  • Associate Degree required with at least two (2) years of administrative experience or equivalent in a medical or hospital setting
  • Prior experience in quality, regulatory, and/or compliance highly preferred
