Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of all Quality Assurance programs for the E-6B Program.
- Ensure adherence to and compliance with established company quality policies, practices, standard operating procedures, and government regulations.
- Advise the program on quality control standards and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct Quality Management System Audits, writing detailed quality reports, processes, and procedures that affect the E-6B program.
- Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, including understanding of Ground Operations Procedures, NAVAIRINST 3710 Series, and CNAFINST 4790 Series.
- Conduct quality and safety inspections/audits of contract operations and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with company programs, FAA, Government directives, airworthiness directives, and aircraft configuration control.
- Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure employees meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability.
- Coordinate and process First Article Inspection Reports with suppliers and Fleet Support Team Engineers.
- Assist with Request for Engineering Information (REI) and Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI).
- Assist with NAVAIR Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR).
- Assist the supplier capability and approval process by conducting site visits and assessing manufacturing and technology capabilities.
- Facilitate on-site visits with “at-risk suppliers” to conduct root cause analysis and implement and verify corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Four (4) years of Quality Assurance experience (preferred QA experience in Aerospace).
- Must be customer-oriented.
- Able to use automated information systems.
- Able to successfully communicate both orally and in writing.
- Must be eligible to qualify for and able to maintain a U.S. DoD secret-level clearance.
