Position Summary
This customer service oriented role is on the front-line of answering calls and scheduling appointments for patients.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls to schedule appointments for new or current patients.
- Outbound calls to schedule appointments.
- Reviews preps, follows scheduling guidelines and prescreens patients appropriately.
- Verifies and updates patient demographic data and insurance coverage while scheduling appointments.
- Respects patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Follows up with patients through various communication channels.

- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast paced, high call volume environment.
- Demonstrates initiative in problem solving and resolving customer satisfaction issues.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Customer service skills - empathetic, active listener, who has strong follow through skills.
- Proficient computer skills and data entry skills.
- Critical thinking – the ability to think creatively, problem solve and work independently.
Education Requirements
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
