Quality and Patient Safety Nurse Coordinator

About the Role

The RN Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator supports the Risk Management and Patient Safety teams to enhance patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data related to patient safety and quality care.
• Prepare reports and participate in committees focused on safety issues.
• Assist in Serious Event Analysis and investigation of safety concerns.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments such as Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Maintain accurate electronic records.
• Report safety and grievance data to quality committees.
• Facilitate case analysis of hospital-acquired conditions.
• Provide ongoing education on safety and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of safety.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• At least four years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Data analysis proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and teams.
