Public Entity Paralegal

About the role

Hall & Evans, LLC, one of Colorado’s oldest and most reputable trial firms, is seeking an experienced Public Entity Paralegal for our Downtown Denver office. This position offers a hybrid working schedule (3 days in-office and 2 days remote) after successfully completing the training period.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, review, and analyze records, including employment, financial, and other relevant documentation;
• Prepare summaries of case-related records and materials;
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence;
• Experience billing time;
• Anticipate attorney’s needs, identify problems, and find solutions;
• Work with limited supervision, independently or with a team;
• Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of people;
• Exercise a high degree of tact, discretion, and sound judgment;
• Organize and prioritize a high-volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines;
• Flexibility to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant paralegal experience;
• Civil litigation experience with a defense firm, preferred;
• Colorado civil litigation experience, required;
• Experience in civil rights litigation, highly preferred;
• Well-developed writing and research skills;
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook;
• Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a mature, professional, and personable presentation and demeanor;
• High level of integrity and personal accountability;
• Excellent attendance and reliability;
• ABA Paralegal Certificate, preferred;
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, preferred;
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. when necessary.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $55,000 to $93,400 annually.
