Project System Administrator

Work You’ll Do

• Support the day-to-day performance, availability, and security of OT-focused network and monitoring solutions in classified and mission-critical environments
• Assess network and server infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization, hardening, and operational improvement across Linux-based environments, including CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky, and RedHawk
• Automate system baselines, patching, and administrative processes using tools such as Ansible, Bash, and Kickstart to improve consistency and reduce downtime
• Collaborate with engineering, development, and security teams to support DevSecOps practices and maintain alignment with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Risk Management Framework requirements
• Troubleshoot Linux, network, and infrastructure issues; maintain technical documentation; and report progress, findings, and improvement opportunities to technical and management stakeholders

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services (GPS) practice assists clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. They help manage and protect dynamic attack surfaces and provide rapid crisis and cyber incident response, ensuring clients can be ready for, respond to, and recover from business disruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Active Secret security clearance required
• Must be local to Huntsville, AL and able to come onsite 5 days a week
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• 12+ years of total professional experience
• 5+ years of experience with the following:
• System/network administration for high-security or government programs, including team and technical leadership
• Hands-on experience administering and automating Red Hat Linux environments in production settings
• Enterprise Active Directory, Certificate Authority, DNS/DHCP
• Experience meeting DoD standards for STIG compliance, ATO, RMF, and vulnerability management
• Understanding of DevSecOps automation (Ansible, Git, Bash) and monitoring solution integration
